Our Surface BITES, And That's A Good Thing!

For those of you who have never been to our Off Road track you should know that our surface is one of the highest bite tracks in the Northeast. We run on a hard packed lo-abrasive clay. After much trial and error we have been able to find the best amount of water to apply to the track, and at the best frequency to give racers the maximum amount of traction. Below you'll find popular tires for the various RC classes that we run. We've also provided a short checklist of things you'll need to bring with you to have the best time.

All Recommended Tires Listed Below Can Be Purchased At Competitive Pricing Locally At Science & Hobby Located at 1623 2nd Ave, Watervliet, NY 12189 (5 minute drive from track). General Tire Recommendations
Front: Slicks
Rear: Slicks
Compound: Super Soft home made (ex. AKA, JConcepts, Proline Indoor Tires) or Panther brand Clay or Super Soft. Either option should be scuffed in before running.

ProLite Buggy
Front: Slicks or Bar Codes (super soft and scrubbed in well)
Rear: Slicks or Bar Codes (super soft and scrubbed in well)
Compound: Super Soft home made (ex. AKA, JConcepts, Proline Indoor Tires) or Panther brand Clay or Super Soft. Either option should be scuffed in before running.

General Tire Notes
The above recommendations are generally what work well. We do our best to keep track conditions consistent, so racers have confidence in making slicks from a brand new pair of tires. In some cases, for some classes, in some conditions other tires with tread have worked better than slicks. As RC Racing goes, we recommend that you arrive at the track early enough to test and tune prior to racing.

What To Bring
Below is a short list of what you should bring with you to have the best experience. If you have any questions at all be sure to Contact Us.

We have many local eateries and sources for a good bite to eat, as well as vending machines on site. For those of you that Club Race you know we're usually like a big family when it comes to ordering food. If you're new to racing RC Off Road in the Albany, NY and Upstate NY area and are going to visit Full Throttle RC Park you can expect us to make your first visit a good one. What a great time! Having been out of RC Racing for over 20 years it was a little intimidating walking into Full Throttle. After a few minutes of being there I was greeted by fellow racers, and have been going every race day for the last 5 months. Great track with a Great Team.
Full Throttle is just what this area needed! The track surface is amazing, and the best traction I’ve ever run on indoors. The facility has a lot of character, and the locals are extremely competitive. A must if you live in the Northeast!
